DO TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND OUR CONTROL, HELMETS (THE SHELLS USED TO BUILD THE RTD DIVE HELMETS) ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE DISTRIBUTOR TO US. DESPITE REPEATED REQUESTS AND NOTICES OF BACK-ORDERS, THEY HAVE NOT BEEN SHIPPED SINCE MID SUMMER 2017. RECTEC DIVERS HAS BEEN WORKING TO FIND A SUITABLE ALTERNATIVE HELMET.

THE HELMETS USED (HELMET SHELL) WERE MANUFACTURED BY PRO DISTRIBUTION LLC (https://www.pro-distribution.com) AKA PROTEC HELMET AND PT HELMET, MAY BE AVAILABLE DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER. IF YOU ARE ABLE TO OBTAIN A HELMET, RTD CAN DO THE CONVERSION OF THE HELMET TO THE RTD DIVE CONFIGURATION. YOU WILL WANT TO ORDER THE HELMET WITH THE PICATINNY RAILS IF AVAILABLE. THE SIZE AND RETENTION SYSTEM DOES NOT MATTER. ALL HELMET SHELLS ARE THE SAME SIZE AND THE 6 POINT RETENTION SYSTEM WILL NOT BE USED.

DESPITE THE ISSUES INCURRED WITH THE MANUFACTURER, THIS HELMET IS AN EXCEPTIONAL PLATFORM FOR UNDERWATER DIVING IF YOU CAN OBTAIN ONE. CALL FOR PRICING IF YOU HAVE A HELMET YOU WANT CONVERTED TO THE RTD UNDERWATER DIVE CONFIGURATION.

PADI DISTINCTIVE OTS GUARDIAN FULL FACE MASK DIVER

Written by PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer Jerry Bayus, with significant input from John Hott, OTS Technical Training Director, this PADI Distinctive GFFM Specialty Diver Course was developed to specifically address diving the OTS Guardian FFM and similarly designed full face masks in both recreational dive and Public Safety Dive environments. The PADI Distinctive OTS GFFM Specialty Diver is a detailed and in-depth course which encompasses all functional and safety ascepts of diving the GFFM in a variety of water conditions. This GFFM course consists of class room knowledge development, extensive confined water training skills, concluding with at least 2 open water dives.
